Its A Lego Tower !

The world's largest Lego tower had 500,000 bricks!

Nearly 6,000 Lego lovers in Sao Paulo, mostly children, helped put together the independent blocks of Lego bricks which were later stacked using a crane.

The tower was composed of 500,000 Lego pieces and reached 102 feet and 3 inches, breaking the previous record set in Chile last year.

It took four days to build and was held in place by wire supports to prevent it from toppling over in the wind.
The first Lego tower was built in London in 1988, since then Toronto, Moscow, Sydney, Tokyo and Munich have been among the cities which have held the title.

Woman Sells Virginity on eBay For $780K.

Migliorini is a Brazilian student who placed her virginity up for auction on eBay on October 15 for a mind-boggling $780,000. Think there weren’t any takers? Well guess again! A Japanese man named Natsu fought off other high rollers to win Migliorini’s prized possession, reports theNew York Daily News. The auction which ended on Wednesday Morning had 15 b
ids. Men of wealth such
asJack Miller,Jack Right, a man from India, Rudra Chatterjee, are among those who vied for the physical education student’s, err…unspoiled wares.

News of Migliorini’s unique auction spread like wildfire, many who heard about the sale viewed the young woman as a prostitute. She also caused quite a stir when she leaked the news that an Australian camera crew would be ‘tailing’ her for a documentary film entitled, “Virgins Wanted.” Migliorini signed up for the project two years ago when she saw an advertisement by Thomas Williams Productions looking for a virgin to film. Margliorini’s attitude towards her core group of ‘hatahs’ is that of benign neglect.

“I saw this as a business. I have the opportunity to travel, to be part of a movie and get a bonus with it. If you only do it once in your life then you are not a prostitute, just like if you take one amazing photograph it does not automatically make you a photographer. The auction is just
business, I’m a romantic girl at heart
and believe in love. But this will make a
big difference to my area,” said the
young beauty, according to the Daily News.

The stipulation of the ‘deal’ involves Margliorini being delivered to her bidder via plane from Australia to the U.S. The film crew plans on capturing Margliorini’s emotions before and after her first sexual encounter. The act itself will not be filmed and Natsu’s picture will not appear in any of the film’s promotions.

The ‘taker’ wants total anonymity. Other interesting prerequisites that Margliorini insists upon is that there will be no sex toys involved and condom use is mandatory. Natsu will also be tested for sexually transmitted diseases before the romp can take place. As far as any naysayers with regards to Margliorini’s virginal declaration, she is more than ready to prove it. Meanwhile, Margliorini wants to plough most of the money she’ll earn into a non-governmental organization that will help to build modern homes in her impoverished town of Santa Catarina.

The Bombay Blood Group

Long time, isnt it folks?
Well, I wont disappoint you! :D

AS is obvious, we only know about 4 Blood Types:-
1)A(+/-)
2)B(+/-)
3)AB(+/-)
4)O(+/-)

Most of us are not aware about another blood group’s existence on this planet.

INTRO

The Bombay blood group is a rare group except in parts of India where a frequency of 1 in 7,600 has been observed. It is know as such because of its origin in Bombay, where it was was first discovered by Dr. Y.M. Bhende in 1952. A high level of consanguinity has been observed among the parents of the Bombay phenotype(8). Individuals with the Bombay phenotype fail to express ANY A, B, or H antigen on their red cells or other tissues (8,39)

ORIGINSThe discovery of Bombay Blood Group was made more than 50 years ago with a patient who was admitted to KEM Hospital and required blood transfusions.  A sample of blood was sent to the Blood Bank for grouping as is the usual practice.  The red cells grouped like O group and hence O group blood was administered.  The patient developed haemolytic transfusion reaction, and therefore transfusion had to be stopped.
A detailed study of the patients blood revealed a rare genotype (blood group), which was neither ‘A’ nor ‘B’ nor ‘AB’ nor ‘O’.  Blood from a Bombay Blood Group individual only should be transfused to a Bombay Blood Group patient.

MORE ABOUT IT

The cause of this antigenic absence is that the individuals produce no H glycosyl transferase ( FUT1). There is no H enzyme activity detected on the individuals red cells or in their serum. It is now known that the precursor protein from which all blood groups are formed is termed as the ‘H’ Antigen.  The ‘H’ Antigen either translates into ‘A’ Antigen (the blood group is then called ‘A’) or it translates into ‘B’ Antigen (the blood group is then called ‘B’) or it translates into both ‘A’ and ‘B’ Antigens (the blood group is then called ‘AB’) or it remains as ‘H’ (the blood group is called ‘O’).  Earlier the detection of ‘O’ was on the basis of absence of both ‘A’ and ‘B’. In the case of Bombay Blood Group, there was an absence of the ‘H’ Antigen itself.  Therefore ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘AB’ and ‘O’ which are all different manifestations of ‘H’ are all alien for persons with Bombay Blood Group.  The Bombay Blood Group is termed as ‘OH’, which means absence of ‘H’.

OCCURENCES
Although the group is more likely to occur in East Indians, it is a very rare group even here. It is not restricted to East Indians but found in Caucasians, Japanese, etc.
IN MOVIES AND OTHER SIMILAR MEDIA
1)In the 2007 Indian Telugu film Okkadunnadu, both the protagonist Kiran (Gopichand) and the antagonist mafia don Sonu Bhai (Mahesh Manjrekar) are the only two carriers of the Bombay blood type. Kiran's heart is sought after by Sonu Bhai's henchmen for an urgent heart transplant required by Sonu Bhai.2)In real life, the actor Charlie Chaplin was accused in a paternity suit naming him as the father. Upon investigation it was revealed that the resulting child had the Bombay phenotype, and therefore Mr Chaplin could not be the father because he was found not to be a carrier of the gene. Unfortunately, he was still found guilty and ultimately he provided support to the child. It was said that he lost his case because so very little was known at the time about the workings of genetics, which affected the jury in their determination of the outcome of the case.

IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY, THAT A PERSON WITH BOMBAY PHENOTYPE CAN STAY ALIVE IN CASE OF ACCIDENTS OR BLOOD LOSS OF ANY KIND, OR OPERATIONS.

SAD, BUT TRUE. :(

Akrit Jaswal has been a surgeon since he was 7.

Akrit is now 17 years old, and is currently working on his master’s degree. That means, he’s not a real doctor. However, he has been performing surgery in India since he was 7 years old, when he operated on a burn victim’s hands. Akrit says that he hopes some day to come up with a cure for cancer. He is considered a genius, having learned to talk at 10 months old, to read at 2 years old, and to read English (Shakespeare!) at 5 years old. He also entered college at the tender young age of 12!

some facts about the famous Hindu festival..

In the months of Ashwin and kartik, Hindus observe a 10 day ceremony of fast, rituals, celebrations, fiests to honor the mother Goddess and triumph of Lord Rama over Demon Ravana. Dussehra also symbolizes the triumph of warrior Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon, Mahishasura. Thus, it is a celebration of victory of good over evil.

This celebration starts from Navratri and ends with the tenth day festival of “Dussehra”. Navratri and Dussehra is celebrated throughout the country at the same time, with varying rituals, but with great enthusiasm and energy as it marks the end of scorching summer and the start of winter season.
The tenth day after Navratri is called Dussehra, on which number of fairs are organized throughout the northern India, burning effigies of Ravana. It is also called “Vijayadashmi” as this day marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. VijayaDashami is considered to be an auspicious day for the Indian householder, on which he worships, protects and preserves 'Shakti' (power). According to Scriptures, by worshipping the 'Shakti' on these nine-days the householders attain the threefold power i.e. physical, mental and spiritual, which helps him to progress in life without any difficulty.
The 'Ramlila' - an enactment of the life of Lord Rama, is held during the nine days preceding Dussehra. On the tenth day (Dussehra or Vijay Dasami), larger than life effigies of Ravana, his son and brother - Meghnadh and Kumbhakarna are set to fire.

The theatrical enactment of this dramatic encounter is held throughout the country in which every section of people participates enthusiastically.

In burning the effigies the people are asked to burn the evil within them, and thus follow the path of truth and goodness, bearing in mind the instance of Ravana, who despite all his might and majesty was destroyed for his evil ways.

Dussehra is also known as Vijaya Dasami, because of the victory of Ram over Ravana. On this day in Satya Yug, Ram (the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu), killed the great demon and king of Lanka, Ravana.

Puranas also opined that in this day warrior Goddess Durga defeated and killed the buffalo demon Mahishasura.

Dussehra is the last day of Navratri; it falls on the 10th day of the waxing moon during the Hindu month of Ashvin (around September or October).

School : Study Funny Money !

In Denmark, you get paid to go to school!

The student grant loans are for secondary and tertiary schools in Denmark. They are administered by the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Higher Education.

The universal grants are known as SU, or Statens Uddannelsesstotte; state educational support grants. All students 18 and older are entitled to a free grant. The grants are regulated partly

by the income of the recipient’s parents if they are below 20 years old. The basic rate for students 20 years old and older is about $960 USD per month!

Once a student starts at a university or other high education institution, they are entitled to an SU for six years. With the exception of medicine, university degrees take five years. This gives each student a year extra to change degrees or study more things with the extra year. Get this, all education in Denmark is free of charge. Yes, from grade school up to college and any official higher education is completely free.

!!!The Bahrain World Trade Center...!!!

It is the first skyscraper to have wind turbines integrated into the structure of the building...!!
Three large wind turbines are suspended between two office towers. The towers are aerodynamically

tapered to funnel wind and draw air into the turbines.
This airfoil tapering allows the wind to enter the turbines at a perpendicular angle and increases air speed as much as 30 percent in each of the 95 ft wide
turbine rotors.

The turbines supply about 15 percent of the electricity used by the skyscraper - approximately the same amount of electricity used by 300 homes..!!

Clouds in a room: Its not photoshop this time.

That's right, kiddies.
They are real clouds in rooms.

MAGICAL, SIMPLY MAGICAL!
Every cloud has a silver lining and Berndaut Smilde’s clouds have made him famous, quite literally taking the art world by storm.

Smilde uses a fog machine to make the actual clouds, but also carefully regulates the humidity and temperature. Even so, these installations exists for a mere moment before dissipating inside the room. If you're not there in the moment, then you only get to experience these brief scientific sculptures as photographs.

Often drawing on a nebulous concept of the “physical presence of transitional spaces,” on one hand Nimbus I(shown above) was visible only for a few minutes at Hotel MariaKapel, while Nimbus II was captured for Probe, an online gallery.

The lone cloud installations defy boundaries and bring a fantastical element to these rooms.

All about love

LOVE
Said to be the most powerful thing on earth by almost everybody.
Paris and Helen, Shiva and Sati, Laila and Majnoo, and who not!
Love is a strange feeling, difficult to explain.
It is said "You can not spell love, you can just feel it."
True that^
What you dont know is that.....
Love actually has an effect on you're whole way of existing.
Lets see how.

Love does not just exist in the heart, but in the head. Both the left and right hemispheres play a role in love and relationships.
The right brain helps us sense emotions and display empathy, whereas our left brain provides us with rationale for our feelings and assigns meaning to actions that we interpret as love.

When you are in love your cells band together and produce a milky substance between them (no one knows what this is). Therefore, your body changes quickly with the emotion of love. You feel strong, proud and able to conquer the world.

Four Main Changes with Emotions:
1.) Psychological: Your feelings of longing and love affect your mind and the way you think. When you are in love you want to go out there and conquer the world. You long for that person and take actions you normally wouldn't do. Your psychological feelings create passion where rationality doesn't always work.
2.) Metabolic: When you're in love your heart races faster, your blood starts moving and you begin to have clouded judgment. This is in part due to the strong emotions. There is only a slight difference between love and fear. Both of these emotions can create major reactions in your ability physically handle the situation.
3.) Molecular: Your cells cling together then you are in love and become erratic when you have sadness. This is why when people are in love or in grief they may act odd. For example, a person in love feels powerful while a person with sadness feels weak.
4.) Interpersonal: When you are in love you are naturally nicer to people. You feel good and this in turn helps you to feel for other people. You aren't so rude when you feel good. However, when you are in sadness you shy away from people and don't want them to talk to you. You stay in the shadows and lick your wounds.

Scientists have identified three chemicals at play: VassopressinEndorphins and OxytocinThey are secreted when we feel that initial attraction to someone and function like an amphetamine, keeping our mood elevated, senses extra alert, and giving us the urge to bond and attach to others. As these secretions increase, our attraction to the object of our desire intensifies, and we get more and more of those dizzy feelings:-
1.)Oxytocin-deemed the “hormone of love”, binds to the limbic centers of the brain (Janov, 2000). Oxytocin is released during sex, which causes feelings of physical and emotional bonding between partners in an intimate relationship.
2.)Vassopressin is also involved in bonding and monogamy. It is said to inhibit dopamine and norepinephrine, which are the key neurotransmitters in an initial attraction to a mate. Because vasopressin hinder these neurotransmitters, relationships can morph into solid, intimate partnerships that are based on more than lust.
3)) Endorphins, which are released during sex, are responsible for the euphoric feelings of joy that two people feel when in an intimate relationship.

LOVE IS A GREAT FEELING. FALL IN LOVE, AND YOU LL SEE, BECAUSE I HAVE. AND I KNOW WHAT ITS TO BE! ^_^

SUSTAIN The Space Marines !

The military developed technology to drop marines into location from space!

SUSTAIN, or Small Unit Space Transport and Insertion, was first proposed in 2002 by the US Marine Corps. The idea is simple. Deploy Marines anywhere in the world within two hours by first sending them into space and then dropping them back down. Project Hot Eagle began developing the suborbital spacecraft necessary for the operation.

It would use a craft that would launch from a suborbital trajectory in two stages, first launching into space, then ceasing orbit in the proper location and lowering back down. The only problem is extraction, which would have to be done in a different way because the aircraft would have to be launched on a special runway.

Future possibilities for this technology are numerous, such as launching an entire army into space before releasing them all at once in an enemy territory.

The "PURPLE YODA"

You heard it right, people.
NO!
ITS NOT A JEDI MASTER FROM THE STAR WAR MOVIES!

Discovered a new type of acorn worm, scientists have. Named it after Yoda, they did.

Yup its a WORM, a purple one though!
DEFINITELY NOT A JEDI KNIGHT!
The reddish-purple worm was found about 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) beneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, and has large lips on either side of its head region that reminded researchers of the floppy-eared Stars Wars character. Its full scientific name is Yoda purpurata, or "purple Yoda."

Researchers found the worm during the ECOMAR research program, which uses a remotely operated submersible to search for new animals along the seafloor at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between Iceland and the Azores.

You littlle evil evil thing! >:(

YOU LITTLE EVIL EVIL THING!

Yup, this is the first thing that will come to your mind, when I tell you of Clocky, the alarm clock.

YOU LITTLE EVIL EVIL THING!
"TABLE JUMPING IS FUN"
This little wonderful wheeled alarm clock started as an engineering student's project. Having trouble waking up herself, Gauri Nanda developed Clocky to shriek annoyingly and effectively, waking you up. The fun doesn't end there, kiddies. When the alarm sounds, Clocky will start beeping. You can set him to run away immediately the alarm sounds, or you can set it to snooze once for your chosen number of snooze minutes and if you don't get up, Clocky will start beeping again and run away. His aim is to jump off your bedside table first, so he won’t be easy to catch once, he’s hit the floor. He then scurries away and beeps at you until you get up and catch the little critter. Now you have to get out of bed and hunt the little bugger down to turn it off.

Seriously annoying, yes, but so was your mother when she was getting us up to go to school. And look where that got us. Oh wait, NOWHERE.
