iphone 5 : FROM THE MAKERS

Well, here is an exclusive intro from the makers of iPhone 5

New app that can hack your smartphone camera and spy on you

US military experts have demonstrated a new smartphone app that can turn your mobile's camera into a spying tool for cyber criminals, secretly beaming images of you
r house, chequebook and other private information back to them.

The software can even build up a 3D model of your house, from which the hackers can inspect your rooms, potentially gleaning information about valuables in your home, calendar entries as well as spying on you.
The app 'Plaice Raider' was created by US military experts at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana, to show how cyber criminals could operate in the future.

The creators even demonstrated how they could read the numbers of a cheque book when they tested the Android software on 20 volunteers.
As long as the app could be installed on the users phone, it can instantly begin beaming back images from the phone when it senses the right conditions, and software on the other end can then re-construct maps of the visited room.

The team gave their infected phone to 20 individuals, who did not know about the malicious app, and asked them to continue operating in their normal office environment.
The team said they could glean vital information from all 20 users, and that the 3D reconstruction made it much easier to steal information than by just using the images alone.

Researcher Robert Templeman said their app can run in the background of any smartphone using the Android 2.3 operating system.
Through completely opportunistic use of the phone's camera and other sensors, Placed Raider constructs rich, three dimensional models of indoor environments.

"Remote burglars can thus "download" the physical space, study the environment carefully, and steal virtual objects from the environment (such as financial documents, information on computer monitors, and personally identifiable information)," researchers said.
Plaice Raider will silently take photographs, recording the time, location and orientation due to the sensors within most modern smartphones.
It will then delete any blurred or dark shots, before sending the rest back to a central server, which can reconstruct the user's room, based on information such as phone orientation.
Then the hacker can explore the user's property at will - for instance, scanning the room for calendars, private details on computer screens, and cheque-books or card details.

"We implemented on Android for practical reasons, but we expect such malware to generalise to other platforms such as iOS and Windows Phone," Templeman said.

THE END ? Mathematics says..HELL NO !

Technically the world should have ended around January 2012 according to the Mayan calendar because it didn't account for leap years!

The one-of-a-kind piece of art! :)

THE Beauty

The 2012 Lamborghini Aventador J officially unveiled to the world at the  at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

It is a radically open automobile – exterior and interior meld into each other in an attempt to obtain a
two-seat sport-bike effect.

No climate control.

Forget the infotainment/ navigation system.

The designers and engineers in Sant’Agata Bolognese have not only dispensed entirely with the roof, but also with the front windshield.

Lambo Aventador J
It uses a new type of carbon fiber fabric called “Carbonskin” made of woven carbon fibers soaked with a very special epoxy resin that stabilise the fiber structure and keeps the material soft.

It gets the 6.5 liter V12 with 700hp power rating and the same 1,575kg dry weight as the Lamborghini Aventador.

The J Roadster you see here is for sale. How many more will be produced? None. It's a one-off, one-run deal, and put away your pocketbooks – it's already been sold for a cool 2.1 million euros.

Hell of a machine! :D

The Bapu You Never Knew

On the eve of M.K.Gandhis birthday, we would like to let you know some facts about the birthday boy!

• Yes it’s a truth that Mahatma Gandhi did wrong things like eating meat and lying to his mother about it. He used to smoke and he himself admitted that he was a jealous husband. But he stopped them as soon as he realized it was wrong. When he lied to his mother about eating meat he felt guilty and promised to himself that he will never take meat again. Before going to London he took a vow that he will never touch wine, women and meat.  He lived up to his promises though many of his friends encouraged him to eat meat as they were concerned about his health. He may did wrong things in the beginning of his life as we all do but he stopped his mistakes and thus became a great soul.

• Gandhi was afraid of public speaking. He was very shy. He gave up a case because he did not have the courage to speak. Because of his shyness it was becoming hard for him to continue his practice as a barrister. Later on, in South Africa Mahatma Gandhi was able to overcome his shyness.

• Gandhi did great experiments with his diets. When he went to London initially he was a vegetarian because of the vow he had taken. But later on he seriously believed in being a vegetarian.  He had a strong power to eat simple food. According to Gandhi, food should be eaten for the sake of survival and not for enjoyment.

• Later on in life Gandhi decided to pursue brahmacharya (self restraint) . Initially, it was difficult for him and he failed to achieve it. But with continuous effort he got power over this lust. He written in his book “that after some period he founded joy in pursuing brahmacharya.”

• He had a passion to serve others. Though he was a lawyer but he gave his heart to public service.

• Gandhi was highly religious. He gave a lot of time studying religion. Besides India’s freedom his aim was self purification.

• Gandhi believed in living a simple life. At his farewell he was given expensive gifts including gold watch and necklace but Gandhi returned all those gifts because he believed in living life simply. His concept was to supersede these temptations.
Definitely he was a great soul (Mahatma) because he got above his inner weaknesses and did what he believed in.

A British Royal Secret !

The British Pound coins form the Royal Shield.

The British Pound has a very rich history. While it’s often called the British Pound or the Great Britain Pound, its official name is British Pound Sterling.
Sterling was the metal with which the old coins were made. The British Pound Sterling was introduced by English King Henry II to replace the silver penny which was made of 100% silver. Like the American penny, it cost more to make than it was actually worth.
Also, the coins didn’t last too long. Sterling coins were much more durable and made more economic “sense.” The British Pound is the world’s oldest currency.
In fact, it’s even older Great Britain (the unification of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern England). In 2008, the coins were redesigned so that together they form the Royal Shield.
